07/05/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/05/17 17:23 Precious is an 8 year old large breed dog that has lived with her family since she was a puppy. She is being surrendred to the her owner moving into a place that does not accept pets. Her last visit to a vet was 3 years ago for a wellness exam. Precious loves to play to with children of all ages and will drag her family to the playground when on walks. She loves to meet strangers and barks to get their attention to pet her. She plays with large breed dogs one on one, but never went to a dog park. She has never interacted with cats. Precious has never bitten a person or another animal. The family has never tried to remove food, treats or toys from her mouth. She does try to get her owners to chase her around with her toys when she has them, but they have never tried to take them away. She does not like baths and will try to run out of the tub. She will also run away from brushes. She has never had her nails trimmed. She will bark when someone approaches the door, but is very social when they come inside. Precious is described as a socal, friendly, outgoing dog with high energy. Her favorite thing is to go outside and she will bark and jumps up and down when she sees her leash. When left alone, she is stays in one room with her crate. The crate is left open and she goes in and out as she pleases. She does not destroy stuff in the room. She is housebroken but she will have accidents if she is not walked every 10 hours. She pulls very hard on leash and a harness is reccomended. She eats pedigree ( a large bowl per day) and sleeps in her crate.

07/11/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Precious looks like a happy go lucky little gal who is trying to make the best of the situation she is in. Indeed, Precious is a professional family dog, owned since tender puppyhood and who is with us as her people moved to a place not allowing dogs. She absolutely loves children of all ages, is friendly to strangers and is known to be good with other dogs . She has lots of the qualities we like to find in a pet. She would not like baths, though and pulls quite a bit on the leash. I guess I could live happily with that…Precious could win a prize as best tail wagger. She is so happy to be in company. She loves treats and will jump or sit for them. She comes on the lap and kisses. I walked her a few times but did not notice any pulling on the leash. Precious seems very much housetrained and does her business as soon as we are out of the building. She has been quite well cared for, looks healthy, is petite and reminds me a little of a BullTerrier. I like my time with Precious. She has a positive attitude, a spunky personality and quite a number of elements of training being a family dog. Precious is at a great age to start a new page in her life and give at the same time the gift of experience and love to a new owner. Come to meet her soon and take her home…
