A volunteer writes;
Potter is a calm and welcoming gentleman in his kennel. He so wants to go out but he is very patient and polite and waits for his turn…so long that he fell asleep… I wake him up with gentle words… Leashed with no effort, we go for a walk around the block. Potter strolls at my pace, not forgetting to do his business on the way. He is not a bird’s chaser and he is civil to a little dog met while a very large male got him a bit worked up. Back in the yard, Potter explores a little a territory loaded with the scents of the many dogs who have been there earlier. He loves treats and sits for them just at their sight. His hinds are a little weak and he settles slowly. He likes to have his butt scratched and sits back to me for a full ‘treatment”. Potter is an eight year old handsome “young” man with a snowy muzzle , a bit of arthritis but with a will to stay afloat and enjoy what life can bring to him, like people’s care and love, few walks a day and treats… This is not much to ask but this is i bet, Potter’s dream…Will you be the one granting him his wish? Potter is at the Manhattan Care Center..
