I am a female white and brown pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 8 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/10/2016 from NY 10303, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

08/10/16 17:32 Port came in after being found tied to a pole and the finder had him for several hours while trying to see if an owner would come forward. He stated that Port was well behaved and went to the bathroom outside, was playing with his young nephews while they waited and sat calmly next to him. During intake Port was well behaved and curious about his surroundings. He allowed all handling and collaring.

08/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Port came in after being found tied to a pole and the finder had her for several hours while trying to see if an owner would come forward. Finder stated that Port was well behaved and went to the bathroom outside, was playing with young children in the home. During intake Port was well behaved and curious about her surroundings, allowed all handling. Port walked well on leash for her relief walk, no pulling. She was friendly and sociable upon entering SAFER assessment area. Port allowed her head to be cupped in assessor’s hands, body neutral and relaxed. She stood still and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item, ears back, body soft. Port followed at the end of the leash for Tag game, soft. She gently pulled her paw back on both Squeeze attempts. Port showed no interest in Toy. Port approached the helper dog at an appropriate pace, not stiff. The Behavior Team feels Port would do well with an Average adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, ears back. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft Squeeze 1 / 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Toy 1. No interest. Dog – dog 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed
