12/10/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Awwww, Pookie…..staff already loves this little guy enough to have given him a term of endearment name…..how sweet is that? A handsome brindle boy who didn’t mind me putting a coat on him, his tail wags as we head out the door. He’s a delight on leash, posed for pictures in the park like a perfect model, showed off his sit (without me asking) in exchange for a treat which he takes so gently. As we pass other dogs he offers a bow to play, and on play dates engages in bouncy running play with females. Pookie loved playing with a squeaky toy, gave me some stand up hugs for more treats, and has a lively, fun, friendly personality that would definitely get him voted “Most Popular” in school. Our behavior team’s equivalent of ‘most popular’ is a vote that Pookie will likely do well with a person with average dog experience. He’s adorable, he’s fun, his sparkling personality is a joy. Come meet him and see for yourself.
