03/24/17 15:54 Basic Information: Pooch is a 17 year old spayed Pit Bull Terrier Mix that is blind according to the previous owner. Upon intake, it was noticed that Pooch has a mass on her belly and overgrown nails. Previous owner can longer have Pooch due to her medical condition. Socialization: According to the previous owner, around strangers, Pooch is friendly and outgoing. Around adults and children(who are now grown), Pooch is respectful and relaxed. Pooch has lived with 4 other dogs ranging from small to large and was respectful and relaxed. Pooch has never been exposed to cats so behavior around them is unknown. She has never bitten a person or another animal. Behavior: Previous owners stated that Pooch doesn’t have any behavioral issues. Pooch isn’t bothered when any food, treat, or toy is taken from her or when she is pushed or pulled off furniture. Previous owner did not bathe, brush or trim Pooch’s nails so her reaction to these grooming agents is unknown. Pooch isn’t bothered when an unfamiliar person approaches the home, yard, previous owner, or a family member. For a New Family to Know: Pooch is described as friendly & affectionate with a low activity level. When in the home, Pooch is the type to follow you around seeking attention. Pooch favorite things to do are eating and sleep. . Pooch was kept indoors only and was fed Kibble ‘N’ Bits dry dog food mixed with Alpo Prime wet dog food. According to previous owner, Pooch is house-trained and would rarely have any accidents. Pooch usually goes to the bathroom on the grass or on the cement sidewalk. When left alone in the home, Pooch would be well-behaved. For exercise, she enjoyed slow walks with the previous owner. On the leash, Pooch didn’t pull at all and when she would be off the leash, she would remain by previous owner’s side.
