A volunteer writes:
Pony Boy  certainly is  a head turner. Everybody wanted to pet him as we walked through the adoption quarters. He is quite a catch, indeed,  and has been so well cared for by his former master who  was deployed and left Pony with us… Pony Boy was a little anxious at first but then, treats and balls helping,  felt better, sitting for duck jerkies and jumping and running  for  tennis balls that he made sure to bring back toward me. Playing is always a good thing to relax adults, kids and pets. Once acquainted, Pony Boy  came on my lap and gave me kisses. He is quite a good walker, pulling at times and doing his business on the way. He does have an eye for the birds and i would not be surprised if he was not a squirrels chaser. He is quite mischievous too.. Pony  Boy searched my bag for more goodies(he got of course his mouth on some) and if it was not enough, ran away with my scarves, head pieces and even my leash. I am glad he is not a guarder….He eyes were so bright and his bushy tail was wagging non stop…Yep, Pony Boy is a young guy who is lively, energetic, playful, affectionate and friendly who comes with great recommendations like welcoming of strangers, good with kids and other dogs(but a cat chaser). He would be a little anxious but he might not have been  exercised enough. Shepherds lovers… Pony Boy is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center and dreaming to be your best buddy, forever this time…
