04/12/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Who writes about a dog she did not walk, spend time with or even really pet? Well, I do. Because I fell madly in love at first sight when I saw Platinum (I would rather call her Copper) in her arrival kennel. She had just made it to the shelter, found as a stray, a big red girl, seven years of age, with huge orange eyes looking right into mine with such goodness that my heart melted and tears ran down my face. Platinum came forward. I was hypnotized. We were alone in this huge room full of other pooches, barking but we did not hear them. It was just Platinum and I. She licked my hand through the bars, and this is when I saw the mass on the left side of her mandible: I bet the reason why she was let go by her people. We talked for a while and she went back to rest on her flowery blanket. I promised Platinum I would be back to see her. Platinum will probably need you soon. Just keep her in mind…she looks like the sweetest gal on earth.
