Medical Summary BARH – good temperament, allowed full handling Scan positive with microchip # 49330D486C OD: injected sclera and completely opaque cornea with excessive neovascularization. Unable to visualize fundus/lens through cornea. Menace positive. Fluorscein stain neg but appears to have more distinct scar at central portion of cornea. Moderate mucoid discharge. IOP: 39, 44, 46 @95%. Sensitive to light. OS: Clear, IOP 24 repeated at 85%. NND Moderate tartar accumulation throughout teeth Ears erythematous and moderately stenotic with excess yellow waxy debris – did not visualize tympanum Mild moist dermatitis at nasal folds Flea dirt present – no fleas; flaky/dirty coat Callus at pressure points (tarsus) Stiff on extensions of hips BCS 5/9; amb x4 NMA/NSR/PSS Lungs Clear, normal BVS Abd palpates WNL 2 testes descended – s/s A: 8 yo MI Bulldog 1. Gluacoma OD +/- other ocular abnormalities (suspect secondary bacterial conjunctivitis, possible KCS) 2. Otitis external 3. Mild nasal fold dermatitis 4. Suspect OA P: Reco NH placement ASAP for full work up of ocular concerns (including STT) and management Tonometry suggestive of gluacoma OD Fluoro stain neg. Cleaned Ears – reco repeat in 2 days Applied Otibiotic AU – continue BID x 7 days; recheck ears in 5d Begin Dorzolamide OD BID indefinitely Recheck eyes 2-3 days Tramadol 75 mg PO BID x 7 days TAB OD BID x 5 days Reco senior work up with placement (cbc/chem/UA) + joint supplementation in addition to addressing current medical concerns Consider enucleation if unable to treat eyes Prognosis fair – multiple issues but many are typical with breed. Potential to lose vision of right eye and cause continuous pain if not managed
