05/06/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/06/16 10:48 Basic Info: Peppy A1072669 is a 13yr old male Chihuahua mix who was given to them as a gift from a friend 13yrs ago and is being surrendered due to owner age/health. He was never taken to a veterinarian and currently has a mass near his penis, hairloss and overgrown nails. Socialization: Around strangers Peppy is shy for a few minutes. Peppy has been around grandchildren (unknown ages) and was relaxed & playful with them, also the same with the adult. When is he able to be walked Peppy is relaxed around the dogs and or cats he sees. Peppy hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Peppy does not like balloons. He isn’t bothered by the following: having his food/food bowl, toys/treats touched/moved, if someone unfamiliar approaches the home/family member or with being moved off of furniture. Peppy hasn’t had a bath or his nails trimmed for quite some time. For A New Family To Know: Peppy is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow (at times) & playful with a medium activity level. The owner likes how well Peppy listens. When the owner is home he follows them around sometimes. Peppy enjoys ball, squeaky, stuffed & chew toys. He’s a mostly indoor only dog who’s walked when the owner or another family member is able to. He sleeps with the owner and eats dry Pedigree food 2x a day. When left home alone he’s well behaved, he’s wee wee pad trained, will bark when he wants/needs something & loves water (drinks alot at night). Peppy’s known commands are “sit”, “come”, “down” & “stay” (you have to repeat them a few times as Peppy’s hearing isn’t as good). Intake Behavior: Peppy had a loose body and didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held. He allowed all handling. Peppy allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. Peppy was then picked up/carried and placed into a kennel with ease.
