10/18/16 : Geriatric exam, history of gall bladder stones
O: BARH. Friendly and easy to examine. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. ORAL: Mild calculus. EENT: Mild nuclear sclerosis OU. H/L: Lungs clear, no murmurs. ABD: Palpation WNL. MS: Amb x 4, no lameness. INTEG: Matted lower legs and feet, ventral body. A: Apparently healthy on exam. Possible history of gall bladder stones, no paperwork provided. No clinical signs of liver problem on exam. P: Monitor while at BACC. Rec. xrays +/- abdominal ultrasound to assess further. Fair to good prognosis depending on underlying disease.

Pebbles is a shih tzu mix who was surrendered due to her previous owner not being able to afford her care.
Socialization:
Around strangers Pebbles is shy for a few minutes and plays exuberantly with adults and children. Pebbles has lived with children from infants and up around them she is relaxed and affectionate. Pebbles has spent time with other dogs and is very tolerant of them and plays exuberantly with them. Pebbles has lived with cats and is very tolerant of them.
Behavior:
Pebbles has never bitten another person or animal. Pebbles is anxious when left alone and becomes terrifed when she hears loud sounds. Pebbles will growl when someone touches her food or bowl while she is eating or takes a treat/toy away. Pebbles isn’t bothered by anyone pushing/pulling her off of the furniture, holding/restraining her, or distrubing her while she is resting/sleeping. Pebbles will snap if someone attempts to give her a bath, brushes her coat or trims her nails. Pebbles is not bothered if an unfamiliar person approaches her family or home.
For a New Family to Know:
Pebbles is described as playful, anxious, and independant with a low personality level. When at home Pebbles will follow around her owner and likes to play with stuffed toys. Pebbles was kept indoors and was fed dry food. Pebbles is house trained and rarely has any accidents. When left at home alone Pebbles is well behaved. Pebbles knows the command sit and likes to go for slow walks on a leash. When off leash Pebbles will wander some but will come when called.
Intake Behavior:
Pebbles allowed staff to collar, scan for a mcirochip and take pictures with no sigsn of aggression.
