A volunteer writes: Pebbles can be a little unsure of strangers, but she is really very, very sweet. The first time I took her out she was visibly trembling, but immediately joined me on a bench when I invited her. A little bit of petting was all it took for her to lay across my lap and steal my heart! And as soon as I got off the bench, like my shadow, so did she. When I started to run around and encourage her to play — she did! No longer trembling, but wagging her tail, Pebbles jumped, considered catching tennis balls, and relaxed her face into a beautiful smile. On subsequent cuddling sessions she’s done an adorable batting of one paw to get closer and solicit more comfort. She has been very easy on leash, but sometimes walks cautiously. Her previous owner tells us she is relaxed with children of all ages, enjoyed oatmeal baths, has a high activity level, needs housetraining, can be anxious and playful, but also sweet and calm. I think there’s something very special about this girl, and that she will flourish in the right home. Could you be her Bamm Bamm? Please come see her at Brooklyn ACC.
