Observed Behavior -very friendly and affectionate, allows all handling
Objective
BCS=5/9
EENT: OU-mild mucoid discharge; OS-possible anterior flare; AD-mild erythema; no nasal discharge
Oral Exam:mm pk, moist; CRT <2 sec; underbite, moderate tartar
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G:female intact; 2 mammary gland tumors-one is associated with 2nd most cranial gland on R chain, about the size of a golf ball, ulcerated with large pocket-likely previous abscess, mild amount of cheesy discharge still present in wound; second is pea sized, firm SQ in caudal R gland
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal:grossly normal
Assessment
MGT x 2, one ulcerated
Underbite with moderate dental disease
Prognosis: open, depends largely on histopathology of MGT
Plan:
Convenia 0.45 ml SQ
Rec’d excisional biopsy vs radical chain mastectomy of R chain
SURGERY: temp waiver due to ulcerated MGT
