Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag:1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy: 1. No interest. Summary: Paulton was friendly and social towards the assessor. PLAYGROUP: When off leash at the Care Center, Paulton was initially nervous but has become soft and social with calm male and female dogs. Paulton was brought in as a stray so his past behavior around other dogs is unknown. The Behavior Department recommends that Paulton be placed with resident dogs that match his calm sociability. INTAKE BEHAVIOR 6/9/17: Upon intake Paulton was calm and allowed all handling. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 6/10/17: During his medical examination, Paulton was friendly with his tail wagging and allowed all handling. ENERGY LEVEL: We have no history on Paulton so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm. RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)

Paulton was brought in as a stray so his past behavior around other dogs is unknown. The Behavior Department recommends that Paulton be placed with resident dogs that match his calm sociability. 6/11: Paulton hesitates to greet the female helper. He displays a nervous posture- hackles slightly raised, tail low. After greeting he wanders the yard exploring but towards the end of his session he does offer two or three wiggly bounces. 6/12: Paulton interacted with another male today, he was soft and social, wandering the yard checking in with him regularly. 6/13 – 6/14: Paulton displays soft and social body language in a group of calm male and female dogs.
