Patricia
Hello, my name is Patricia. My animal id is #21171. I am a female brown dog at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a agency on 20-Feb-2018.
02/28/18 Patricia is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infection Respiratory Disease Complex and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other dogs. Patricia is suitable for an average home.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
Patricia is such a regal dame! Her looks would stop anyone in their tracks. One of her favorite things to do for attention is spin her body around in front of you and back up for scratches. I’m sure anyone would be won over by Patricia and her wiggly ways. Won’t you please come meet her today at Brooklyn Animal Care Centers of NYC.

Summary (1):: Patricia was brought in as stray with one other large dog but limited information was provided, so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown. Patricia displays little interest in other dogs, and mostly seeks the handlers attention. She briefly greets a group of calm dogs, but will immediately lip curl and air snap if the greeting continues longer than her comfort level. The Behavior Department believes Patricia would be most comfortable as the only dog at this time. Any other resident dog should be respectful and well socialize. 2/21: When off leash at the Care Centers, Patricia calmly greeted the novel male dog with a nervous but soft posture, exchanged some sniffs then mostly explored the yard. She displays warning signs (lip curls) when solicited or greeted near her face. 2/22-27: In a group of calm female dogs, Patricia briefly greeted them with a soft posture. She spent the rest of her session seeking the handlers attention and exploring the pens.
