08/28/16 15:43 Parks is a young female brown and white AMPT with a possible skin condition. Parks was found tied to a fence and allowed finder to untie her. Finder described Parks as hyper and very friendly. During intake Parks was very excited and wiggly Parks jumped all around and greeted everyone with a wiggly body. Parks enjoyed being pet and allowed to be scanned and collared with no problem. Parks was sweet and friendly.

KNOWN HISTORY: Unknown Intact, Stray AGGRESSION ASSESSMENT: [8/30/16] Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1/ 2: Dog gently pulls back her paw. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Summary: The Behavior Team feels Parks would do well with an Average adopter. She may benefit from force-free, reward based training to practice basic obedience. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: PLAYGROUP: When off leash at the care center, Parks greets with wiggly body. Parks was surrender as a stray, so her past behavior with other dogs is unknown. When off leash at the Care Center, Parks engages in high energy play with male and female dogs. She shows slight assertive posturing, mounting the other dogs, but is able to listen to handler interruptions and continues to play. The Behavior Department recommends that Parks be placed with a dog that is comfortable with her high energy play style and that a pre-adoption dog-dog interaction be conducted to ensure compatibility. 8/29: Parks greets with a wiggly body.
