04/17/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Paris came into our center as an owner surrender citing owner’s declining health, no profile information was given. Upon intake, Paris was friendly and wagging, slightly panicked when picked up but calmed easily. She pulled excitedly on leash for her relief walk. Paris was friendly and energetic upon entering SAFER assessment room, open mouth panting, wiggly. She allowed her head to be cupped in assessor’s hands, tail wag. Paris stood still and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item, body soft, tail wag, open mouth. She was distracted and unresponsive during Tag game, focused on the exit. Paris quickly pulled her paw back on both Squeeze attempts. She was initially very interested in Toy, snatching it quickly with a firm grip, but quickly lost interest. She approached the helper dog in play position, soft, open mouth, wagging. The Behavior Team feels Paris would do well with an Average adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture, open mouth item. Tag: 2.
