BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: NEW HOPE ONLY
Behavior Asilomar: TM – Treatable-Manageable
Recommendations:: No children (under 13),Place with a New Hope partner
Recommendations comments:: _X_Place with a new hope partner: Papito would do best with a New Hope partner that can further evaluate his behavior in a home environment as he appears to startle easily and reacts with hard barking, growling and lunging at stimuli. We cannot be certain of his behavior in a new home environment though recommend appropriate management.
Potential challenges: : Fearful/potential for defensive aggression,Anxiety,On-leash reactivity/barrier frustration
Potential challenges comments:: Papito has lunged forward and barked towards handlers when startled by sound or unfamiliar people/environments. He would benefit from a slow approach, preferably with treats,so he can acclimate at his own pace. He will benefit from a calm, quiet, structured, routine environment.
