PROFILE:
Basic information: Oso is a 8 yr old dog who was a family pet and was kept in the same home since he was first born. Unfortunately due to the previous owner moving he could not be kept. He was last brought to the vet about 4 year ago for vaccinations.
Socialization: Around strangers and children Oso is described as shy for a few minutes and plays somewhat rough. Oso has never been socialized with dogs or cats and there’s no records of him ever biting another animal or person.
Behavior: Oso becomes somewhat anxious when he is left alone & will begin to bark, occassionally has accidents at home, destroys household items when no one is looking and during fireworks or loud storms he is unbothered. He enjoys being brushed, isn’t bothered with bath time, having his nails trimmened, being pushed off of furniture, being held or restrained or when unfamiliar people approach his owner or his home. He barks and growls when someone is attempting to touch his food, treats or bones while he is eating and has never had his nails trimmened.
For a New Family to Know: Oso is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, excitable, independent and fearful. He has a low/medium activity level, will follow you around when home with you, likes to play with balls & bones and loves to play tug and fetch. He has been kept indoors only, prefers to sleep under his owners bed, ate homemade food and Caesar wet food 2x a day. He is considered very house trained, destroy household items when he is left alone at home, has never been crate trained, is not used to being walked outside, pulls lightly on leash and has never been walked off leash.
