Medical: 10/10/17; Vet Notes: 2:44 PM; Hit by car two hours ago [DVM Intake] Estimated age: 2-5y; Microchip noted on Intake? n; History : hit by car a few hours ago, stray; Subjective: maxilla is fractured: canine teeth move when touched. epistaxis. Reluctant to stand. Suspect pelvic injury.; Observed Behavior -bites when touched. Gave 0.1ml hydromorphone sq and 0.4ml carprofen sq before exam. Evidence of Trauma seen -y; Objective T =P =120 R =referred upper airway noise/stertor; BCS 5/9; EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean,epistaxis; Oral Exam: teeth bloody, maxillar injury; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: intact male; MSI: sits , painful rear legs but no palp fx; , skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat; CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: hit by car. at minimum has fractured maxilla/sinuses. suspect pelvic injury. rule out lung injury; Prognosis: guarded; Plan:radiographs to assess full extent of injuries; already given hydromorphone 0.2mg and carprofen 20mg; SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to injury
