09/20/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/20/17 08:26 Basic Information: Onyx is roughly 4 years old, he’s a male black and white large breed dog. He was found in the stairscase of a residence building in the Bronx. His finders could not keep him due to having a dog already and because of their current health. Behavior During Intake: Onyx had a relaxed body and wide eyes. He slowly wagged his tail when I approached with the micro chip scanner. He allowed collar but moved his head out of my reach a few times. He remained calm and still for a photo.
09/26/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Can you picture how cute Onyx would be if he was in your hands, safe, well cared for and loved? The prince and the pauper. I find him adorable despite his weight, his worn-out coat and because of his friendly temperament, even though he appears, at first, in a survival mode. He spots quickly food scraps on the ground, searches my bag for treats, marks his territory and does a lot of sniffing around. When you spend a little more time with Onyx, you will discover that he is very sociable, sweet, fun to be with and quite affectionate, coming on the lap for caresses and rolling on his back for belly rubs. I so love his face, mostly when he eats so enthusiastically my duck jerkies. He is a good walker and has been proper with his peers in playgroups. Onyx has been dreaming and hoping for quite a long time for a home to call his own and a true loving human. Will you be the one granting him his wish?
