12/22/16 19:39 Basic Information: Oneal is a 1 year old unaltered American Pit Bull Terrier. He was found as a stray 3 months ago and is being surrender due to landlord issues. Oneal has not seen a vet since being with the surrender. Socialization: Oneal is friendly to new people he meets inside and outside his home. He is shy at frist but will warm up and jump on people’s chest. He has spent the last three months in a home with a 3,11, and 13 year old. Oneal was friendly and was gentle durign play with the children. There were no other pets in the home. When he saw dogs outside, he will bark and wag his tail. Behavior: Oneal howls when he hears sirens. He is not bothered when someone touches his food, rawhide, or toys. He is not bothered when woken up from sleep, bathed, or when people approach his home or family. He enjoys beign held, brushed, and pet. For A New Owner to Know: Oneal is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy, and mellow. He has a medium activity level. He follows people around the home. He likes to chew on toys and chewed apart his kong. He also has chewed on the welcome mat and the bottom of furniture. He is fed a big bowl of dry dog food twice a day. he is housetrained and does not have accidents in the home. He knows the command sit. He does not pull on the leash and comes when called. Admissions Behavior: Oneal sat in the admissions office and did not move much. He was lead to the photo backdrop with a treat and was eager to eat the treat. He sought more throughout the admissions process. He allowed all handling without behavior concern.
