12/05/16 20:18 BASIC INFO Ojay A1098825 is a 10 month old APBT. he was a gift from a neighbor 8 months ago. the main reasonm for surrender is that the owner is having legal disputes with his landlord and cannot keep Ojay where they are currently staying with relatives. Ojay does not have any health concerns. SOCIALIZATION Ojay is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. He has lived with a 7 and 11 year old and he was very gentle and respectful with them. He did play a little exhuberant with the kids at times. He has never lived with another animal. He has never bitten anyone. BEHAVIOR Ojay is anxious when left alone. When there are loud noises, he is not bothered. Ojay allows you to take away his food bowl, water bowl, or toy away. He allows you to bathe him and restrain him. He is not bothered if awakened out of his sleep. If an unfamiliar approaches the doorway, he barks. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW At home, he follows you around. He enjoys playing with balls, nylon bones and ropes. He sleeps on a doggy bed. He is fed Eukenuba dry dog food. he is mostly house trained. He usually goes on dirt. He does destroy household items if left alone for too long. For exercise he is walked on the leash which he pulls. Ojay is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Ojay allowed all handling collaring and photos.

12/10/2016 WEB MEMO

A volunteer writes:
“SMOOSH!” That’s the first word that will come to mind when you meet 10 month-old Omar. His adorable face is so cute and compact, as if it was made even smaller from one cuddle too many. “SMOOCH!” That will be the second. Those pouty, red lips are infinitely kissable, and best of luck resisting the urge to pepper Omar’s face with little kisses all day long. “SQUEAL!” Well that’s what you’ll do loudly and joyously the very first time you hear Omar’s hilarious, happy snorts. Yep, turns out our sweet boy is a little piglet wrapped in a pittie, topped with a gorilla nose – which has to be the most magnificent combo I’ve ever had the chance to see.  Omar was surrendered to our care due to housing issues. He is silly, wiggly, and fun, walks well on leash, loves to give cuddles, and while still perfecting his housebreaking skills is young enough and eager enough that he’ll easily become the star pupil under the right teacher’s hand. “STOP!” Well that’s one word you’ll cease to know or say once you’ve the pleasure of meeting Omar. There will never be enough kisses, cuddles, happy snorts, or time in the world with the sweetheart by your side. Omar is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan’s ACC.
