OLIVIA – A1073977

A volunteer writes:

Can a dog be more elegant than Olivia? She wears smartly her “little black dress” on a trim body. Her stance in the sun is regal and her smile so radiant …I am in awe…She is so beautiful….Olivia is not at all comfortable here at the care center where she “landed” as a stray. She has been remarkably cared for, though by her previous owners and is one healthy looking pooch. She walks quite nicely on the leash, rarely pulling and does her business on the way. Birds or other dogs do not really pick up her attention  at least for now that she is still trying to find her bearings. Olivia is a bit handshy but eventually, comes when I call her and even sits next to me after a number of prompts and accepts caresses. She does love treats and will sit for them although occasionally she will do so without being lured.She can “deal” with quite an amount of photo shooting but did get a little nervous at some point…Olivia did relax a little by the end of our time together and this is how I believe, I got that absolute gorgeous smile out of her… Olivia is a big part Rotie and by definition, a delicate soul, stressed in overwhelming environments. Please, do take this into consideration as like any dog in her “shoes”, breath taking Olivia will need your help soon. She is at the Manhattan Care Center waiting to start her life all over in your hands..
