DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age: ~7-9 years; Microchip noted on Intake? negative; History : stray ; Subjective: BARH; Observed Behavior – very sweet but shaking and nervous. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures; Objective ; P = wnl ; R = eupneic ; BCS 5/9; EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted; Oral Exam: adult dentition with moderate tartar, no oral lesions noted; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: MI, 2 testicles descended; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat, grey muzzle; CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: Apparently healthy; Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC; Prognosis: Excellent; SURGERY: ok to schedule for surgery

Summary (1): Oak was brought in as a stray so his behavior around other dogs is unknown.
6/4: When off leash a the Care Center, Oak greets a novel female dog with a nervous, tucked posture. He is tolerant of her play solicitations but mostly keeps to himself, wandering the yard.
6/5: In a group of calm male and female dogs, Oak nervously approaches greets the other dogs. He explores the area and occasionally checks in.

Behavior Notes: Behavior during intake: Animal has a tense body, tail tucked during intake. Staff were able to put a leash on, scan for a microchip and take a picture without any issues.
