A volunteer writes: Nugget is just that…..a nugget – a tiny morsel of playful, gorgeous puppy happy to make new friends and enjoy some playtime with a plush toy. She’s quiet in her kennel, happy to be leashed for an outing and while she pulls a bit on leash it’s all about puppy enthusiasm for each new thing needing investigation. Paper bag? Check it out! Discarded cup? Let’s look! Bird? Let’s watch! Life is an exclamation point for this little girl as everything is fun, exciting, and worthy of attention including her person with whom she loves to snuggle and kiss! The person who found Nugget had her for two weeks and tells us that Nugget seems housetrained and guards her food and toys so that may require some training. Nugget loves treats and sits for them, so with positive reward based training she’ll learn what she needs to. Fun, friendly, playful, and affectionate, all wrapped up in a lush caramel color coat, a smiling face and wagging tail, our Nugget is hoping you’ll stop by to meet her today!
For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues. If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. * We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.* For more info on behavior codes and ratings, please click here: http://information.urgentpodr.org/acc-placement-status-descriptions.
