11/29/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Nova is a great name for this young man, full of energy and just out of puppyhood. He might be quiet in his kennel, but once out, he is as fast as a comet. We are told he is house trained, and he surely does his business along the way to the park. He sits beautifully on command, with or without treats. He does love turkey jerkies, and will search my goodies bag for them. Nova needs to gain a little bit more weight, mostly because he must burn quite a lot of calories being so active. He likes caresses, scratches between his ears and on his rump. Nova comes with very good comments from his former family. He was very playful with the 3 young children of the house (even sleeping in their bedroom) as well as the one year old male Chihuahua. He loved baths, was very welcoming of strangers and free of handling issues. He messed up pillows and stuffed toys when left alone in the house. Nova is a very good looking young dog who has proven himself as a family dog living with kids and even a small bored pooch. He is high energy and needs an active owner or family who will give him plenty of exercise and attention. Nova is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be your new forever best friend.
