Nino
Hello, my name is Nino. My animal id is #7928. I am a desexed male tan dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks i am about 3 years 1 months 3 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a data import – incoming on 01-Oct-2017
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
Behavior determination: Average A volunteer writes: Nino made a big impression from day one here at the Manhattan Care Center. He was very relaxed and affectionate with the receiving staff who admitted him, and a very compliant patient with the veterinary team. Five stars from day one!! Nino comes also with glowing comments from his former owner who relinquished him because of personal problems. Nino is a very handsome dog, strong, too, although he walks quite well on the leash. He is eager to step out of his kennel (he never was crate trained) and does his business at once, keeping clean and orderly quarters. He is one happy camper leash free in the yard, where he plays beautifully with tennis balls. He puts on quite a show, jumping high and twirling in the air. Although he does not guard his stuff, he sneakily was hoarding the tennis balls in a corner. I tested his patience and made him sit and stay, and he did. I was quite proud of him. He so deserved a treat and a hug. Nino and I did not have the chance to meet other dogs, but we are told that he used to attend a dog park. Nino is a superb dog, friendly, super playful, strong, but who can also be a couch potato, and who will make an awesome for ever best friend to the adopter looking for an active and enthusiastic pet. Nino is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. A volunteer writes: Adopted from us about a month ago and returned as his person lost his job and home, Nino comes back to us with a glowing resume, which, after spending time with him, is no surprise. We’re told he’s friendly with all people including children, relaxed and playful with dogs (although has had mixed reactions in ACC playgroups), doesn’t guard his things, is OK with baths, growls if someone knocks on the door but is fine when they come in. Nino loves toys, is housetrained, is well behaved when left alone and loves peanut butter and dental treats. I loved my time with Nino, he’s great on leash, and after going potty stops and looks up waiting for his ‘good boy’ treat – so sweet! In the park squirrels are fun to chase when they come over to tease us, and then Nino shows off his sit and shake paw – both of them! He gently takes a reward treat, gobbling it down quickly hoping for another. He’s a gorgeous boy with lively eyes, a huge smile, gorgeous coat and sweet friendly personality. I see him fitting into any living situation as his soft and loving personality is what best friends are made of. Come meet him today.
