Look: 1. Dog leans forward or jumps up to lick the Assessor’s face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted.

Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth.

Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins.

Squeeze 1: 1 Dog gently pulls back his paw.

Squeeze 2:1 Dog gently pulls back his paw.

Toy 1: 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish toy to you.

2/18: Niko displays soft body language when greeting a novel female dog. He initially keeps to himself as he explores the pen, but becomes playful as the session continues. He solicits and engages in gentle play, occasionally mounting the female but continuing play when solicited.

5/16: Niko displays soft and social body language when interacting with a novel female dog. When a male solicits him to play by body slamming him, Niko offers a warning by low growling and walking away.

5/17-5/18: Niko mostly keeps to himself in a group of male and female dogs. He does not engage in play when solicited.
