10/01/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/01/16 12:22 Basic information: Nestle is estimated to be 2 years old. She was found as a stray on 10/01/16. Nestle’s finder described her as very hyper and friendly. On leash she pulled lightly when she caught onto a scent. She was very friendly when he approached her and allwoed him to pet her. Behavior during intake: Nestle allowed me to pet her, collar her, and hug her when she jumped up for attention. She took treats gentle and listened to the cues; sit, up and down. She had a wagging tail and wiggly body. She showed no signs of aggression.
10/12/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: What does Nestle’s chocolate and our Nestle have in common? You guessed it! Both are absolutely delicious!! Our four-legged deliciousness is ready to come out of her kennel, go potty, make new friends and head off for an adventure. Pulling hard on the leash at first, she eventually settles into a good rhythm with me, and I get a chance to admire her lovely caramel color coat. She’s likely been a mom a couple of times, but has her girlish figure back. Nestle shows off her sit, takes treats softly, gives sweet hugs and kisses and was happy to meet one of our rescue drivers for some bonus hugs and kisses! On our walk, Nestle notices but ignores dogs we pass, and on her first playdate, politely greeted the helper dog, and then roamed the pen. Off leash, Nestle comes when called, and has almost a zen-like calm and sweetness about her. Even her tail wag is gentle and easy. If delicious is what you’re craving–and who isn’t?–then ask to meet Nestle when you visit. Delicious doesn’t begin to describe her! Borrowing Nestle’s old advertising slogan: N-E-S-T-L-E-S…Nestle’s is the very best…doggie (OK, a little poetic license there.) Another volunteer writes: If I think “female American Pitbull Terrier”, my ideal representative of the breed is Nestle. Red golden, the profile and the face of a lioness, feminine although a little boyish, strong while responsive and obedient, protective while sociable and friendly, fun to be with and highly affectionate without being soapy….Nestle is all that in my mind and she would be a first choice if I had the chance and the priviledge to own a Pitbull. Yesterday, she so amazed me while she was photographed by a real photographer and made the most silly faces that would make the sternest person smile…Nestle is so genuine, determined and so into all she is doing. My kind of gal!!! Although a big and strong girl, Neslte is a true precious gem who will be by your side, a most loving and loyal companion. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center and make her yours. Another volunteer writes: Nestle is just about the sweetest thing–she has the softest fur I think I’ve ever touched, and the gentlest ways. It was too late for a full walk, so Nestle and I sat in the hallway. She enjoys ear scratches and being told she is a good girl.
