11/04/16 20:45 Basic Information Neiko is a 5 year old neutered Pug American Pitt Bull mix. He is being surrendered because owner’s daughter is severely allergic. Owner adopted this pet from a neighbor. Owner stated he has no medical issues and last saw a vet for vaccinations last year. Socialization Neiko is friendly around strangers. He has lived and spent time with kids ages 2-12. He is very playful around them and plays in a gentle manner with them. He plays in an exuberant manner with adults. He has spent time with small and large dogs. He is very playful with them. Owner stated he would play in an exuberant manner with large dogs and in a gentle manner with small dogs. He lived with two cats and was playful with them. He has never bitten a person or animal. Behavior Owner stated Neiko has no behavior issues and is not bothered by loud or sudden noises. Neiko is not bothered if his food is touched while he is eating or if a toy is taken away. Owner stated he will growl and bark if a bone is taken away. He is afraid if his nails are trimmed. He will bark if someone knocks on the door. He is not bothered by any kind of handling. For a New Family to Know Neiko is friendly, affectionate, and very playful with a high activity level. Owner stated he likes to catch flies. He will follow his owner around when home. He likes to play with chew style toys. He likes to play tug and chase. He is kept indoors only and sleeps in his own bed. He was fed Beneful, owner filled and small bowl three times a day. He is house-trained and uses wee-wee pads. He is well behaved when left home alone. He has never been left in a yard or crated. He knows how to give paw. Owner takes him running for exercise. He pulls lightly on a leash and is never walked off the leash. Behavior during Intake Neiko tolerated all handling. He was very active and would jump and lick my face. I picked him up and placed him on top of the counter for a photo without any issues. No signs of aggression were displayed during the intake procedure.

Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail low wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2.
