02/17/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
02/17/17 13:01 On intake, Natalie allowed counselor to pet her head and rub her back. She sat nicely on her own and counselor offered her a treat but she did not take it. Counselor got down and collared her while she sat still. Natalie got up and counselor walked her over to area to take pictures. She sat nicely when counselor asked her to sit and stayed still for picturing. Her tail was pretty low during intake but allowed counselor to get down on her knees and pet/hug her.
02/20/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: When I saw her greying muzzle and her sweet eyes, my heart melt. Natalie looked so shy in her kennel. I talked softly to her. She came forward sticking her little tongue out in a sign of peace. I leashed her easily and we headed for the front yard. She walks nicely, checks on me and wags lightly her tail. We settle in a quiet corner for pictures. What a timid gal! She sat on command and even hopped on the bench where she squeezed herself against me for caresses. What a pretty dog, very feminine and dressed in a foxy red coat. She is calm and happy to be with a friend. We do not know much about Natalie except that she seems to have carried many litters. What we do know is that she is a sweet and gentle middle aged lady who will likely make a loyal and loving companion to the one willing to give her a chance to shine. Natalie needs you tonight.

When off leash, Natalie’s tail is tucked. She is uncomfortable with the other dog, corrects the other dog’s approach, jumping away and showing teeth.
