Nacho
Hello, my name is Nacho. My animal id is #9864. I am a desexed male black dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 16-Oct-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person health – medical.
Nacho is at risk due to medical condition, oronasal fistula.
Nacho 9864 is at risk for an oral/dental condition, a possible oronasal fistula that will need additional diagnostics and treatment. Behaviorally, Nacho has been uncomfortable with certain types of handling, baring teeth during paw squeeze. He allowed only minimal handling at intake and during his medical examination. We recommend an adult-only home and a slow, gentle approach for Nacho.
