A volunteer writes: Mrs Pancake has been the talk of the care center for quite a while now. She came to us quite sick after giving birth. Our veterinary staff took great care of her and Mrs Pancake is now in adoptions for you to meet her, fall in love and take her home as your new forever best friend. Mrs Pancake has been through a mill but she has come through, healthy and absolutely gorgeous. She owns a beautiful and serious face, an elegant anthracite coat and the most lovely and perfectly cropped ears. She feels like silk. She is a little shy, understandably, but slowly is coming out of her shell. At first timid in playgroups with her peers, she started bouncing, chasing and offering paw slaps. A little “wild flower” in disguise???? Maybe. Free in a pen, she keeps her tail close to her hinds. She accepts caresses, not my treats, though, and little by little drops her guard. I am not a doc, Mrs Pancake, do not worry. I just want to be your friend and play. Mrs Pancake walks very nicely in the street, meets properly other dogs, even one who barked strongly at us. She did her business on the way. Mrs Pancake is very dear to all of us and we dream for her of a safe, caring and loving home. Come and meet this sweetie very soon at the Manhattan Care Center
