A volunteer writes:
Moo does not want to be ignored…He is mostly seen at the front of his kennel, right behind his door , his  eyes looking intensively at any potential caretaker passing by. He is leashed in no time and trots valiantly around the block, marking a little his territory. He  seems to be very much housetrained.  Moo is quite sociable and friendly . He loves treats that he chews nicely and accepts gladly my   caresses and a scratch under the chin. No handling issues with this little guy who clearly is used to  and seeks the presence of people. Moo does not bump into anything but is eyes seem affected by cataract. As a result, he can be a little handshy when my hand lands too fast on his head. Moo is ten year old and neutered. He is trim and looks smart in his shiny oreo tuxedo. His tiny little tail vibrates when he seems content. Moo , owned for many years, was relinquished into our care  as his family moved to a place not allowing dogs. He lived with 2 adults and is known to be good to kids and other dogs. He does come with wonderful comments  and together with an excellent behavioral evaluation, Moo appears as an elder  who would make a new owner very happy to care for  and love him. Moo is at the Manhattan Care Center, waiting for …you.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
