Basic Information: Molly is a 5 year old female Pit Bull Mix that has no past or current medical issues that the previous owner is aware of. Previous owner can no longer have the dog due to moving to a new residence soon which doesn’t allow pets. Socialization: According to the previous owner, around strangers, Molly is friendly and outgoing. Around adults and children, Molly is gentle, relaxed, respectful and playful. With adults, Molly plays in a gentle manner. With children, Molly plays in a relaxed, playful and respectful manner. Molly has spent time with a male neutered Pit bull and was respectful and playful and played in a gentle manner. Previous owner stated that Molly has never been exposed to cats so behavior around them is unknown; however, upon arrival at SIACC Molly attempted to lung toward and bark at the cats. She has never bitten a person or another animal. Behavior: Previous owners stated that Molly doesn’t have any behavioral issues. Previous owner did not attempt to take food or bowls away from Molly while she was eating so behavior is unknown. Molly is described as friendly and tries to play when any treat or toy is taken from her. Molly is not bothered by being pushed or pulled off furniture. Molly is not bothered by having baths. Previous owner did not attempt to brush her coat or trim her nails so behavior is unknown. Molly barks when an unfamiliar person approaches the home, yard, previous owner, or a family member.
For a New Family to Know: Molly is described as affectionate with a high activity level. When in the home, Molly is the type to follow you around seeking attention or stays in a favorite spot. Molly likes all kinds of toys and she likes to play tug. Molly was kept mostly indoors and was fed Purina dry dog food. According to previous owner, Molly is house-trained and would never have any accidents. When left alone in the home, Molly would be well-behaved. Molly knows commands sit, come, and give paw. For exercise, she enjoyed playing in the yard. On the leash, Molly can pull lightly and behavior off-leash is unknown.
