Mojo came into the shelter as a stray on 7/11/16, there is no owner information available. However it was reported Mojo has spent time in a home with the client and with children. Mojo is described as very energetic and friendly around everyone in the home. Mojo pulls very hard when on a leash. Mojo has spent time with one small dog with the dog he appears to be friendly and playful. Mojo was very energetic during intake, but allowed all handling. During SAFER Mojo was energetic jumping and playing with the assessor he had a loose body posture when interacting with the assessor; he allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Mojo was playful during the tag interaction, and during the resource portion of the assessment. Mojo was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Mojo appears to be sociable, and did not display any behavior concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, and open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1: 2. Dog gently places his open mouth over the Assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Dog-Dog:When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Mojo is a bit sensitive to the other dog’s greeting. He softly corrects a prolonged greeting by lip curling and air snapping.
