08/01/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: A girl after my own heart…a little exercise, and then it’s rest time! Gorgeous in her coat which shines like a bright new copper penny, Missy has a beautiful smile, is good on leash, seems to be housetrained, has a gorgeously rounded figure and is my new love. She has the best feet, like little bear claws, loves to lay down froggy style, and then that fabulous smile can light up a room. Ignoring big dogs we pass but pulling towards a couple of small ones, Missy was bouncy and playful in her first group session. In the yard off leash, Missy has fun chasing after a soft toy, her tail wagging with fun, and after a few tosses, it’s rest time again. Yep, just like me!! As she lay at my feet while I took some notes, my mind wandered to envisioning her cuddled with her new person watching Animal Planet, catching up on the latest news, or simply enjoying some quiet time. She’s a gem, waiting to meet you in adoptions. Meet her today. Another volunteer writes: Can you hear everyone talking? “I love Missy!” “Isn’t she the best?” “She’s awesome, the sweetest!” Honestly, if Missy had an autograph book, it would be filled with accolades from staff and volunteers. And, she would definitely be voted “Most Popular” in school. Add to her resume and accolades that she’s now a greeter dog due to her excellent behavior and tolerance towards our other four legged residents. This amazing pup, who wants nothing more than a short walk and a bed/couch/mat to lie down on, is hoping you’ll ask to meet her today. Don’t let her size fool you, as ‘gentle giant’ never fit anyone as well as it does Missy.
