12/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Intact Female, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 12/21/16 Look:1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds. Sensitivity:1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Toy: 1.1. No interest. Summary: Mina was very friendly and affectionate towards the assessor, she displays no concern. Mina can’t walk due to hind legs being injured, she was carried to the SAFER room. Mina was laying down on the ground due to her legs so a limited assessment was conducted at the time. She allowed most items to be conducted with no issues, she gave zero issues when removing her in and out of her kennel. Mina remained soft throughout. PLAYGROUP: Due to Mina’s injury to her pelvic bone she does not participate in playgroup nor do we feel comfortable introducing her to another dog on-leash for safety reasons. However, she does not react to other dogs while being housed in our medical ward, either when they walk by on leash or when she is in her kennel. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 12/21/16 During her medical examination, Mina was calm and allowed all handling. RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (Suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
