Milow is friendly when someone touches her food or bowl while she is eating, takes a treat/ toy away, pushes/puls her off of the furniture, gives her a bath, brushes her or holds/restrains her. Milow’s previous owner did not attempt to trim her nails so it is unknown how she wil react to that event. If an unfamiliar person approaches Milow’s family or home she is friendly toward them. Milow dosen’t mind when people disturb her while she is resting/sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Milow is described as: friednly, affectionate, confident and anxious with a very high activity level. When at home Milow will follow around her owner and likes to play with squeaky toys. Milow was kept indoors only and was fed dry food from the brand pedigree twice a day. 08/07/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Oh my goodness! How did Milow get so, so, soo sweet?! She can be a little timid, but gets braver each day as she adjusts to her new environment, and is hands down the most cuddly girl around. She needs some housetraining, has previously lived harmoniously with other dogs, and walks nicely on leash. She could write a book on cuddle moves, and I think has even invented some never-before-seen ones! Some of her frequently employed techniques include: approaching new people with a low wiggly body and flopping over to show her belly (she seems very submissive, but also loves belly rubs!), very softly propping her paws up and making even softer eye contact, being able to fit on any lap (anywhere!), proving that there is no limit to how close she can snuggle, and plopping all of the weight of her head on my hand as I pet her as if to trap it there forever. She has melted all of our hearts into a collective puddle — come add your’s to the mix!

08/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Milow previously lived with adults and other dogs. The owner stated Milow is friendly towards starngers and adults; she is also relaxed and playful towards the other dogs. The owner mentioned Milow will often chew on small items she finds such as headphones and etc. The owner describes Milow as friendly, affectionate, confident and anxious. It was reported by the owner Milow is not house trained, has a high activity level and when home alone she tends to get into the garbage. At intake it was reported Milow was friendly and allowed all handling. During SAFER Milow came into the assessment room calm and relaxed, she was very friendly and affectionate towards the assessor. She allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Milow was a bit fearful with her body low during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Milow was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Milow appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter and we recommend a slow approach. Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body low and a bit fearful. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Toy: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Milow is very nervous. She displays a low body, tucked tail, and tense face. She is tolerant of the other female dog’s greetings, but spends most of her time seeking handler attention.

08/02/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
According to Milow’s previous owner, Milow has lived with other dogs and is relaxed and playful around them. 8/2: When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Milow is very nervous. She displays a low body, tucked tail, and tense face. She is tolerant of the other female dog’s greetings, but spends most of her time seeking handler attention. 8/5: Milow is initially nervous, greeting the other dog with a lowered body. She becomes more relaxed as the session continues and solicits gentle play. She engages in play with a playful female dog.
