Roses are red, violets are blue, I love Mike and you will too! I know it’s sappy but what can I say, this handsome gentle, affectionate, obedient hunk of fabulosity (that’s a word, right?!) is so close to perfect that he brings out the mush in me and everyone else lucky enough to cross his path. A ‘stray’ in name only, Mike is a hound-y looking guy clad in a spotless white coat and he already knows commands for come and sit, appears to be house trained, walks nicely on leash and is calm, playful and just all round adorable no matter what situation he finds himself in. Surrounded by kids at the park…meeting dogs of all sizes on the street…greeting strangers he passes with a happy tail…there seems to be no social gathering that this well-behaved boy can’t meet with a relaxed grace far beyond his years. His only flaw, and a very forgivable one when you see his underfed frame, is a tendency to grab treats if not given them promptly but what is such a tiny thorn on a beautiful rose? Mike is still one of the best dogs you could ever hope to meet and with a few extra pounds in weight and the security of good food every day, even this little quirk may soon disappear. I just can’t say enough good things about our most beautiful Care Center resident and Mike deserves to be welcomed with open arms (did I mention he likes to snuggle?) into a family as soft, sweet and loving as himself. Will yours be the lucky family he chooses?
