09/25/16 18:44 Mia is great around strangers and is friendly around them and is good with children of all ages. She has never been allowed with other animals. Never been around cats. She uses the bathroom indoors on a pad or gos outside but is house trianed. She does not destroy anything in the house. If you touch her food or bone she does not mind. She is fine with having his toys taken away or touched. She likes being brushed and does not mind being bathed or having nails trimmed. She is not bothered by strangers approaching the house. Mia has a low level of activity at home. She prefers human company and will follow owner around house. She knows the command sit, stay, let’s roll, let’s cross and car coming. She can be walked off leash, She will stay close to owner. She is fed pedigree and mighty dog dry and wet food once a day and will and sometimes chicken or other human food meats. Mia was nervous and needed to be carried but allows all handling.

Mia came to the care center as an owner surrender on due to owner’s declining health. It is reported Mia is great around strangers and is friendly around them and is good with children of all ages. Behavior around cats is unknown. Owner reports Mia is not bothered if anyone touches her Food, Toys, Treats. She is housebroken to use wee wee pads indoors mostly but may also use the bathroom outside. She reportedly knows the cues ‘sit, stay, let’s roll, let’s cross, and car coming”. She was nervous upon intake but allowed all handling. Mia was calm and quiet upon entering SAFER assessment room. She allowed her head to be cupped in assessor’s hands, relaxed. She stood still and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item, ears and tail neutral. Mia followed at the end of the leash for Tag game, body soft. She gently pulled her paw back on both Squeeze attempts, lip lick. Mia approached the helper dog at a comfortable pace, relaxed. The Behavior Team feels Mia would do well with an Average adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture, mouth closed Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft Squeeze 1 / 2: 2. Dog gently pulls back, lip lick Toy 1. No interest. Dog – dog 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed, and lip neutral
