MCGREGGOR – 9684
Safe - 11-18-2017 Manhattan
Hello, my name is McGreggor. My animal id is #9684. I am a female white dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 14-Oct-2017.
McGreggor 9684 is at risk for a respiratory illness (CIRDC). Behaviorally, she has been social and affectionate, allowing all handling and readily interacting with her caretakers. We believe she is suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Mc gave me a stand up hug the moment I leashed her for a walk, and thus began our love affair. But, I shouldn’t have assumed I was special, as she greets everyone she meets with a hug and/or a play bow. Our social butterfly loves loves loves people, and is happiest snuggling in a lap, giving kisses and receiving hugs. And you’ll want to make her happy, as she’s a gem! Her tail wags nonstop as we walk, her butt wiggles when she sees a bunch of kids, and I can’t help but wonder if she lived with kids before joining us. Not only does her body go soft and wiggly when she sees them, but she has some purple marker on her coat, which makes me think of a child. Mc’s cowprint coat is clean and as soft as velvet, her weight perfect for her size, she shows off her sit, and takes treats gently. Mc and I were hugging and kissing so much on a park bench that one passerby yelled out, ‘Get a room!’. Mc seems to love other dogs as much as she loves people, enjoying bouncy play with equally bouncy males and females. It’s no surprise she rocked her behavior assessment, indicating she’ll be a good fit in a home with average dog experience. She’s awesome, I’m in love, and you will be, too. Ask to meet her today.

ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on McGreggor so we cannot be certain of her behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
