A volunteer writes: For those that remember the slogan for Maybelline cosmetics, “maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s Maybelline”, I’m here to tell you that this Maybelline was ‘born with it’. She’s adorable, gorgeous, fun, friendly and all puppy playful and affectionate and ready to find her forever person or family. Bouncy on leash, she may be housetrained using the ‘facilities’ as soon as we were outside. Off leash in the yard she explored, played, got the zoomies, jumped up on the bench for some snuggles and kisses, draped herself happily on my lap for a few minutes of quiet cuddle time before jumping down again in pursuit of a toy. Maybelline showed off her sit before I asked when she saw a treat in my hand and took it delicately from my fingers. She shakes paw and does that head tilt thing I just love. Maybelline can sometimes get a bit puppy mouthy in play as that’s what puppies do before they have proper training. She’s smart and loves treats so should be easy to train with positive reinforcement training. Not everyone is a puppy person, but if you have the patience and love, and can provide the positive structure to help a rock star puppy become a rock star adult, Maybelline is waiting to meet you.
