PROFILE :
Basic Information:
Max is a 6yr old male Mastiff that has no past or current medical issues that the owner is aware of.
Socialization:
Max is great and takes well to strangers. When meeting new people he is fine and appears to love the attention. He has been in the presence of children and Max interacts with them in a playful gentle manner. Max gets along with dogs (large & small) and according to the owner Max gets along with them just fine. The owner has never had a cat around for Max to interact with and doesn’t know how he would respond in the presence of one. Max has never bitten a person or another animal according to the owner.
Behavior:
The owner doesn’t know if Max has guarding issues when it comes to food and treats. The owner has never had issues giving him either but also has never tried taking either from him. So the owner doesn’t know how he would respond to having someone take his food and treats. When it comes to toys Max doesn’t have any guarding issues and they can be given and taken away with no issues. Max takes well to grooming agents like receiving a bath, having his nails trimmed, and the brushing of his coat. When strangers approach the yard Max will bark and growl.
For a New Family to Know:
Max is described to be friendly, affectionate, playful, and excitable with a medium activity level. When in the home Max is the type to follow you around or be in the same room. Max has been given toys and show little to no interest in playing with them. Max is an indoor only dog that is house broken. Max was crated at night while the owner slept, Max does well in the crate for 8-10 hours. Max was brought up eating both wet/dry food and the brand the owner gave was Pedigree. When left alone in the home Max is well behaved and this applies to him being left in yard as well. Max knows a few commands like sit, give paw, and stay.
