DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age: 10yrs; Microchip noted on Intake? no; History: O/S due to moving to place that does not allow pets; Subjective: Dog is BARH; Observed Behavior – immediately social, greets vet and takes treats readily, moving around for exam but allows all handling, curious and willing to explore environment but able to focus back on handler; Objective; T = NA; P = 110; R = pant; BCS 4-5/9; EENT: Eyes NS OU, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted; Oral Exam: Grade 1/4 dental dz; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: male neutered; excessive (thickened) scrotal tissue; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, lipomatous mass cranial to prepuce, healthy hair coat; CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Rectal: not performed; Assessment: Geriatric – mild dental dz, excessive scrotal tissue (rule-out hyperplasia vs benign or malignant; neoplasia); lipomtous mass DDx: lipoma, MCT, open; Prognosis: Good; Plan: Acceptable candidate for adoption or rescue pending behavior evaluation. Recommend senior bloodwork and FNA +/- biopsy of scrotal tissue and lipomatous mass on placement. SURGERY: Already neutered
