A maverick is a free spirit, an independent being…Our Maverick might look like that but in fact, he is just a puppy, a little lost, a little skittish and who is just trying to find his bearings, a place to call home and a master to love…Maverick indeed is hanging loose. He was someone’s pet just yesterday, well cared for , well fed and perfectly groomed. He cries in his kennel…and although shy, he really wants to be in company… He is leashed easily, pulls and is quite distracted during our walk. He marks a little his territory. Free in a pen, he searches the premises, stands on his hinds to see better and sniff further…He does not want at first my treats, then ends up gutting my goodies bag. When I scolded him, he did not mind and came for caresses, sitting between my legs for cuddling time. Maverick seems to like other dogs and wags his tail even if he is barked at. Little maverick is only 7 month old. He needs a master and most likely a teacher as puppies need a fair amount of patience and teaching to become great adults blending well with us humans as well as their peers. Come and meet this lovely Collie at the Manhattan Care Center, keeping in mind that this breed is quite active, intelligent and needs to be occupied . Maverick will be waiting for you, dreaming of walks in the park, ball games and frisbees competition..
