02/24/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Little lady Marmalade! This girl is a little chunky and has big round eyes like a doll. She comes with a glowing resume and it continues to grow during her stay with us! She has been around children from ages 3 to 12 and is said to be relaxed and gently playful with them. The same even goes for a shih tzu she used to hang out with! She is reported to have no guarding issues, not mind a bath, and even remain friendly if she’s disturbed while sleeping (way to make the rest of us look bad, Marmalade!). She was a little shy with me at first, wiggling over when I called her, but play bowing and darting away when I went to pet her. But she soon warmed up to be very playful and affectionate — propping her paws on my shoulders and kissing my face. She has great leash manners, seems housetrained, and is very treat-motivated. She has been very wiggly in playgroup and has even been used as a helper dog to welcome new canine friends to the party. Marmalade seems like perfect sidekick material — she’d love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!
