03/31/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/31/16 20:49 These 8 dogs were seized by police from an apt after their owner was evicted. They were left in the apt in crates. Police had given them dog food. They all were relaxed around each other. They would sniff each other and sometimes play with each other with loose, wiggly bodies. They were dirty on their undersides and rear ends, apparently soaked in urine. Her nails are somewhat overgrown. She had a soft body, open mouth, and low tail while we pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, and positioned her for pictures.
04/13/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Marigold is a middle aged gal with lots of spunk…After spending some time with her, I saw her playing in the yard with a group of visitors to the care center…She was jumping, running, playing ball like you and me would do with our own beloved pet….And yet, Marigold was found, skin and bones and unkept in an empty apartment together with 7 other pooches, all of them, friendly with each other and people. I bet they all have the “sociable genes”. Marigold is a pretty and petite gal who even with more meat around the bones will always be tiny…She is so pretty with her pointy ears and greying muzzle, so feminine. She loves treats of course but is not greedy for them. She seems to love other dogs , stopping and wagging her tail profusely when she sees one…She is always in action, tail wagging, seeking attention and wanting to participate in whatever action going on around her…She is the oldest of the group, may be the mother of some of her housemates and could have been the respected matriarch. i really love Marigold, a pretty flower not yet at sundown…She has it big time in her to be a fun and loving mini companion… Come and meet Marigold at the Manhattan Care Center. She dreams to be your forever best friend. A volunteer writes: If you’re looking for a calm, gentle friend, then Marigold is your gal. Marigold is the perfect size to fit into your lap and snuggle, and that’s just what she’d like to do. When another dog walks by, Marigold will definitely perk up – her friendliness goes across all people and pets. But no barking or whining from this golden girl. No need to run around or play with toys, either – Marigold wants to spend her days hanging out with you, just watching the world go by.
