Medical Summary scan: neg sex: female est age: 4-6yrs S/O: Dog is BARH BCS 5-6/9 EENT – clear Grade 4/4 dental dz Heart/lungs auscult wnl Tense and growls on abdominal palpation Left mammary chain palpates fibrous cranially and there are several small nodules caudally A: Severe dental dz; slightly overweight; mammary tumors P: Should have mastectomy and OVH at same time, so will be waived permanently from surgery at ACC; recommend dental prophy on placement (will likely need multiple extractions); keeping in medical overnight to monitor urination/defecation, if all good in am okay to move to holding PROGNOSIS: Good-Poor (50% of canine mammary tumors are benign and 50% are malignant)
