04/28/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/28/17 13:21 Margo A1110296 is a young female white & brown spotted American Bulldog mix who was taken from someone who was about to tie her up outside on a street in the Bronx late last night. The finder took her in overnight and stated Margo was well behaved, friendly, slept on the floor, ate home cooked food, listens and didn’t “go” indoors. The finder isn’t able to keep Margo due to having other dogs. During intake Margo had a loose, wiggly body and allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of. Margo stood up and gave me a kiss; she walked alongside me to her kennel where he hopped in on her own once I tapped her hind end lightly.
05/02/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Pretty Margo is friendly and easy going, getting closer and closer to me as we spend more time together. She is a good walker who does her business on the way. She sees but does not pull toward other dogs and was totally cool when another pooch came uninvited to us while we were sitting on a bench. Big festivities going on in the park last Saturday were no problem for Margo, who marched valiantly and happily through it all. Margo’s owner passed away and this is why we have the pleasure to host her temporarily until she makes her way to a new home. Margo is really cute in her cream and latte coat. I do see the Bulldog in her but she is so girly looking. She might have a bit of allergies according to our veterinary staff. Maybe a different diet could do the trick? As soon as we came into the backyard, I threw tennis balls in the air. Somehow, I did not think she would run so fast after them. It was not quite interactive but she seemed to enjoy herself. Margo is a cute little gal, friendly and sociable who will make a very nice and loving companion to the new owner who will take her home. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center. Another volunteer writes: Margo means ‘pearl’, and indeed she is a gem. An old world name for a sweet, soft, gentle, friendly little girl who joins us when her owner passed away. She seems to be housetrained, has a wonderful smile and soft tail wag, sits for a treat before being asked, greets everyone in the park both 2 legged and 4 legged with an easy tail wag. In playgroup with her peers, she’s tolerant of greeting and is soft and polite when greeting other dogs. It’s easy to tell that Miss Margo was a beloved companion and we promised her she would have a new family to love. She would be mine if I could, but since I can’t, I’m hoping that you will open your home and and heart to our pearl.
